The October 10th, 2023 episode of the Levar Burton Reads podcast, Mr. Burton read one of Sarah Pinsker’s called The Court Magician from her collection of short stories in Lost Places. I enjoyed this reading so much that I decided to get a copy of Lost Places and also her first collection, Sooner Or Later Everything Falls Into The Sea. Both collections contained stories that dealt with alternative futures and realities, science fiction, dystopian America, compassionate characters and connections to community. Below are my comments for a few stories from both collections. I recommend both titles.
